Glucose Post Prandial (PPBS)

To screen for and diagnose diabetes and prediabetes and to monitor for high blood glucose (hyperglycemia) or low blood glucose (hypoglycemia). It measures the glucose levels in the blood two hours after a meal. The test helps screen a symptomatic/ asymptomatic person who is at risk for Diabetes. It is also used for regular monitoring of glucose levels in people with Diabetes.

It is done as routine screening test, in pregnancy to ruleout gestational diabetes, and regular monitoring of glucose levels in diabetics.
